NYPD Disqualification -Notice of Proposed Disqualification – NOPD

The first notice you will receive when you are NYPD disqualified is a Notice of Proposed Disqualification or NOPD.  You will have 30 days to respond to this NOPD.  It is recommended that you consult with an attorney to protect your rights and make the most compelling arguments to increase your chances to get a reversal of your NYPD disqualification.

I am a successful civil service attorney with 18  years of experience.  I have many clients who are currently working as NYPD Police Officers because I helped them win their disqualification appeal.

If you have questions about your disqualification and would like to schedule a free consultation at my Mineola office please do not hesitate to call me at 516 248 0040.

NYPD Psych 2nd Interview

Recently the number of candidates getting their disqualification reversed at the 2nd psych interview has increased.

You must file a NOPD Appeal to have a chance at a second interview. If you receive a 2nd interview you are best served to know the issues that were raised in your disqualification and the arguments made by your appeal Mental Health Professional (MHP).

If you receive a NOPD nothing will change unless you take swift action and appeal it.

I offer a free consultation in my office if you receive a NOPD.

If you are offered the 2nd interview I will prepare you for the interview. This preparation is included as part of your appeal representation.

NYPD Disqualification

Don’t be discouraged by others who were disqualified. Often candidates become disheartened with the process. Jobs that are a life career can have a lengthy and difficult application and investigation process. Law enforcement positions have thorough background checks, as well as medical and psychological exams.

Nonetheless, do not be discouraged if you are disqualified because candidates before you have succeeded in their appeals.

If you have a NYPD disqualification and would like to schedule a free consultation at my Mineola office please do not hesitate to call me at 516 248 0040.

IT IS CRUCIAL TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL INBOX FOR NOPD OR NOD FROM NYPD

Candidates may have an overflowing inbox with 25, 50 or 100 emails a day.  If you miss a Notice of Proposed Disqualification NOPD email for a NYPD psychological disqualification or a Notice of Disqualification NOD and you do not respond within 30 days your appeal may be dismissed.

Candidates may claim, “I never got it!”, but evidence can be submitted with the day, date and time the email was sent.

The best advice is to check your email inbox or spam folder very carefully EVERY DAY. Failure to do so will prevent you from getting appointed to the job after spending 40-50 hours in applicant processing.

Another tip may be to set up an email filter to have your email provider separate the emails into a separate folder.

Case dismissals are occurring more frequently, so you must pay close attention in order to prevent negative results.

If you have questions or would like to schedule a free consultation at my Mineola office please do not hesitate to call me at 516 248 0040.

NYPD Psych NOPD 2nd Interview

If you receive a Psychological Notice of Proposed Disqualification (NOPD) from the NYPD, you have 30 days to decide whether or not you would like to appeal.

If you do not take action, this disqualification will most likely affect your chances of being hired by other law enforcement agencies.

The good news is that the NYPD has begun a second psychological interview or a NOPD interview for some candidates that choose to appeal.

This second interview occurs at a different location and with a different psychologist from the first NYPD doctor that interviewed you. Based on the initial doctor’s interview and your expert or MHP – mental health professional’s report, this interview with a different NYPD psychologist has led to many people successfully getting their Psychological Disqualification reversed before having to appeal to the Civil Service Commission. This is very good news for candidates, as you may succeed by appealing your original NOPD disqualification.
